The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
