Automobiles in German Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Police mentioned they were contacted by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Approximately 50 cars have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they announced in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then located many other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state early analysis show the substance was probably blood from a person.

"There is still no indication as to its source; officials are currently not cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the event," they added.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to resolve the case" and have appealed to the public for information.

A high-ranking representative said the attack rendered him stunned and needed to be solved promptly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on online, recalling the murder of nine people by a assailant targeting residents of migrant background in February 2020.
